Compliments
Compliments for your wife
Specific, history-aware compliments that work in marriage — not the dating-era ones repurposed.
The compliment problem in marriage isn't that you stopped loving her — it's that the daily flow of explicit appreciation got quiet around year three. You still notice the things. You just stop saying them. The fix is mechanically simple: say them again. These are starting points.

How to use these
Marriage compliments work differently than dating compliments. A few notes:
- Don't save them for anniversaries. The anniversary card is the lowest-leverage moment to compliment your wife. She's expecting one. The random Tuesday text is what she'll remember.
- Reference history. Married compliments have access to specificity that dating compliments don't — you've seen her in 100 contexts. Use that. "The way you handled [specific past event]" hits in a way "you're capable" can't.
- Compliment the partnership, not just her. "We have something rare" lands differently than "you're amazing." Both are good. The partnership-frame ones are underused.
- Send one a week. Not as a chore — as a habit. Set a reminder if you have to. Within a month it becomes natural again.
The "I told [person] about you" move
One of the strongest married-compliment frames: telling her about a time you told someone else how great she is. "I was talking to [coworker] about you yesterday and realized I sound insufferable. I don't care." She'll keep that one.
