GlazeTrain is live on Google Play. Same features as iOS, same vibe, no compromises.
What's the same as iOS?
Everything that matters. The Android version is a full feature-parity port, not a compromise:
- ✅ Send Glazes (named and anonymous)
- ✅ Hype Level scoring (1–5)
- ✅ Glaze Trains (3+ contributor mode)
- ✅ Glaze Battles (1v1 with community vote)
- ✅ Streaks and Daily Prompts
- ✅ Tier system (Spark → Supernova)
- ✅ AI positivity check before every Glaze
- ✅ Block and report system
- ✅ Cross-platform account sync (use the same account on iOS and Android)
- ✅ Push notifications
- ✅ Same privacy controls and opt-outs
What's different
A few platform-specific things you might notice:
- Material 3 design language. The Android version uses Material You, not a 1:1 reskin of the iOS interface. It feels native.
- Notification customization. Android lets you set per-channel notification preferences (streak reminders vs. new Glazes vs. battle votes) more granularly than iOS.
- Edge-to-edge layouts. Properly handles Android 15's edge-to-edge requirement.
- Predictive back gesture. Supports the new Android system back-gesture preview.
- System theme integration. Honors your Android dark/light mode setting (the app is dark-themed regardless, but accent colors adapt).
Cross-platform account sync
If you've been using GlazeTrain on iOS and want to switch to Android (or use both), just log in with the same credentials. Your Glaze Score, tiers, streaks, blocks, sent and received Glazes — all of it follows you between platforms.
Anonymous Glazes are sender-account-tied, so if you've sent anonymous Glazes from your iOS account, they're still you-anonymous from Android. Block lists also apply across both platforms.
System requirements
- Minimum Android version: Android 9 (API level 28)
- Recommended: Android 12 or newer for Material You theming
- Storage: ~50 MB
- Permissions requested: Notifications (optional), Photos (only if you want to set a profile picture)
Tablet support
GlazeTrain works on Android tablets but isn't fully optimized for large screens yet. The phone UI just scales up. A proper tablet layout is on the roadmap; no ETA. Foldables: works in folded mode like a normal phone, no special handling for unfolded yet.
If you have an issue
Android version of GlazeTrain having problems? Couple of options:
- Email support@glazetrain.com with the device model, Android version, and what's happening.
- Leave a review on Google Play — we read all of them. If you mention a specific bug, we'll usually fix it within a release or two.
- Tap "Report a problem" in Settings → Help inside the app.
If you want early access to new features, join the Google Play beta from the Play Store listing → Scroll to "Join the beta." Beta builds ship roughly one release ahead of the public version.
